For over 25 years, the technology on which AWC’s treatment system is based on has been subjected to rigorous testing protocols such as Australia’s AS1547, the Irish BS6297 (Valid for all European Union countries), as well as Alaska’s, Canada’s, New Zealand’s and California’s testing programs.
In British Columbia, tanks must be NSF-40 certified, unless they have previously met the B.C. Ministry of Health Service Standards for package treatment plants under Regulation 411/85, which AWC’s system does.Since the Australian AS1547 testing regime surpasses that of NSF-40, the NSF-40 test is not necessary to AWC at this time.
The table below graphically illustrates the sharp contrast between Australia’s AS1547 testing system and that of NSF-40. AWC’s system has, over a very long period of time, met or exceeded the requirements of several testing schemes that are themselves either equivalent to or better than NSF-40. In fact, the AS1547 test alone covers over 20 additional test criteria not asked for under NSF-40. Copies of test and certification documents are available upon request.
